Oh my I could not list all the memories of Rush as there are sooo many from his remembered train whistle at our Bingo games when #22 was called to his always helping me out when I might need a certain size nail, screw or to borrow his garden rake. Rush always had time to sit, share and chat. Rush ALWAYS had a plan and held fast to his plans and what he thought was the right thing to do. Like all of us are getting , Rush was set in his ways and not always subject to change which was fun to try and convince him to change. ha I still have to laugh at some of our conversations. He was "our" can man collecting for years all the aluminum and metal that he could, haul it to recycle (in the name of Tippecanoe Village) then donate it to the Local Hospice again in the name of Tippecanoe. He had a hard time slowing down and kept busy around the house even when he could no longer collect for Hospice. Great memories we all have here in Tippecanoe. I will NEVER forget my friend Rush! May He Rest In Peace!
Poem of Life
Author Unknown
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord.
God Bless Shirley, Judy, Nancy, Mary Jane and all his family.
