Ronald Joseph Bourquin's Obituary
Ronald Joseph Bourquin, 77, of Mango, Florida, passed away on February 6, 2026
Ronald (Ron) was born on April 02, 1949 to Cleda Theresa Bourquin and Richard Joseph Bourquin in Canton, Ohio. After finishing high school, Ron worked briefly at Kempthorn Motors in Canton, Ohio, where he met and later married Elaine Jednazewski. Ron served in the United States Air Force from April 9, 1969 to February 02, 1973 and was honorably discharged Sargent E4. While in the Air Force, Elaine and Ron married on September 12, 1970 and moved to Tampa Florida where he was stationed at MacDill Air Force Base. Their only child, Angela (Angi) Bourquin, was born on May 16, 1973, and they settled in the Tampa Bay area to raise their daughter. Although they divorced a few years later, they always remained friends and raised their daughter, Angi, together. Elaine and Ron spent most holidays together as a family with extended family from both sides. They always cherished their time with their daughter, 3 granddaughters and 6 great grandchildren.
Ron had a personality bigger than life. He never met a stranger, and was always willing to help someone in need. Following his discharge from the Air Force, he started his own business selling and installing carpet. He was a motorcycle
enthusiast and headed up many cycle trips across the country with his friends and family members. As Angi’s daughters became young adults, Ron brought them all into his passion for riding motorcycles, and they began making annual fall family trips to Gatlinburg Tennessee, on motorcycles, of course. These were special times for Ron, Angi, Elaine and their granddaughters. The memories made during these family trips will be cherished by all of them.
Ron was predeceased by his parents, Cleda and Richard Bourquin, and his brother, Steven. He is survived by his daughter, Angi (Jeffrey Blomquist), granddaughters Samantha Rosenberg (Christian Davila), Brianna Good (Tom Opfer), Breez Good (Brooke), great grandchildren Brooklynn Boone, Cameron (CJ) Rosenberg, Zaydin Rosenberg, Jovanni Good, Braelynn Good, and Jett Davila, sisters Linda Madaris, Sheri (Andy) Bush, Paula (Ray) Drawdy, brother Gary Bourquin, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends, cousins, and other family members.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 15, 2026 beginning at 1pm at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 US-301, Thonotosassa, Florida 33592.
