Marylou was my big sister and was some times called "Lulu" by my dad in a loving way. Even though she was his stepdaughter, he loved her deeply from early childhood and throughout his life he would defer to her on many life matters. They were very close. Marylou looked out for her family members and gave willingly all that she could. She was a hard-working woman, intelligent in many ways. She cried when her heart was broken, she hugged when you were sad or hurt. All her brothers and sisters thought a lot of her and always talked of her with love and admiration. She was 2 years older than me and looked out after me throughout my life, especially when I got into trouble. Sometimes she scolded me but did it in a loving manner. I always felt a special closeness to her because she was my big sis. I will love her for the rest of my life and miss her until we meet again.
Marylou was a loving and giving soul. She valued family and faith above all else. She grew up amid hardship and poverty on a small farm along with her 7 other siblings. She worked hard all her life and when she was finally in a position to do so she would always help the family in any way she could never asking for anything in return. Marylou was the best sister any brother could ever want. I love her and will miss her dearly. May she finally be at rest with the lord.
