Sorry I didn't keep up with him, though I contacted his in-laws in Webster Groves, MO coming back from Japan.

He always had several airmen for Thanksgiving dinners while in Japan. I was fortunate to be one of those. He got several of us together to form a men's glee club one year. He loved music and his men.

Any of those left of his family, thanks for loaning him to us those years. I am in TX now. I any of you wish to contact me so I can personally thank you, [email protected]. Misawa AFB, 6989 Security Group, trick 4.

Dearest Papason, it's been two weeks since we last saw you. The house is empty without you. I wanted to thank you for all you have done the last 47 yrs with us. First I give you thanks for loving and devoting your life to Mom. As you said many times " When you find your soul mate you keep them next to you until death parts you and then you wait for them in Heaven when they arrive." I want to thank you for all the special memories we had, learning to play softball, to drive a car even though I had to prove I could change a tire and oil, camping, traveling. The many poems or "Ode to old dogs or cat " that have passed, you wrote to each and every one of them. Walking me down the aisle when I was married, the grandchildren that loved you, the garden and orchids we grew and cared for, the holidays "pumpkin day", "turkey day" and "Santa day" I could go on forever. We, your family miss you and love you. "Till then it's not goodbye, it's rest in peace and we'll meet you there when it's time."

I have very fond memories of Col. Davey. I worked for him at USF from 1968-1974. He was instrumental to my being able to complete my degree in accounting in 1974 about 5 years ahead of my plan. I met my husband because he decided it was my civic duty to become treasurer of the North Hillsborough County Volunteer Fire Association. After Ed and I married, we moved to Atlanta and lost touch. A number of years later we tried to locate him but we're not successful. We send our thoughts and prayers to his family.

I never met Kenneth but Bob and Judith often spoke fondly of him. Looking at his information, he had a very long and full life and was loved dearly by his family and friends. My condolences to Judith and Bob during this difficult time.

I only met Uncle Ken a couple of times. But I do remember his warm smile. I am happy he lived a long life. I think my son would have loved him, as he too loves golf and is serving in the Army.

Another Sentinel has taken off,
One more Aero man has gone aloft.

Heaven’s orders - never unheeded,
This time no plane was needed.
