Henry Christman Slane Jr.'s Obituary
Henry Christman Slane Jr, 72, of Seffner passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. He was born on February 24, 1945 in Tampa, Florida to the late Henry Sr. and Lorine (Music) Slane. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Dolores.
Chris served our country in the United States Army and later retired from TECO after 36 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Seffner, Florida and is fondly remembered for his love of fishing, hunting, and spending time with family.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Carol; son Henry C. Slane III and his wife Kimberley; daughter, Becky Maxey and her husband, Bob, all of Seffner; grandchildren; Robert, Grace, Megan, and Hank; brother, Richard and wife, Kathy Slane, of Tampa; sisters, Sharon and her husband, Jim Graham, of Winter Haven; Karen and her husband, Johnny Matthews, of Plant City; and Lois and her husband, Joey Stewart, of Lutz.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 10:30am to 11:30am at Faith Baptist Church, 603 Faithway Drive, Seffner, FL 33584 with a funeral service following at 11:30. Graveside service with Military Honors will be held at Sunset Memorial Garden 110005 US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, FL at 2:30pm. Memories and condolences may be left online at www.sunset-fh.com.
