Cooter was One of The Last of A Dying Breed of Men!!! He was a true Man of Word with a Heart as Big as The Texas Sky!!! He was at the Hospital when my Son (Tanner) was born and made a Small cow whip and said let me know when he can crack this one and I’ll make him another. Well jump ahead 26 years and he made one for my Grandson which will be cherished more than you’ll ever know!!! God Bless you Clarence Cooter Hale.. Mr. Clarence was my neighbor and dear friend. We blew a hole in the fence between us so we could sit and chat with each other. I learned so much from him, and about him, about his love for his family and things he did in life. He could have written a book. He knew how to do so many things. If anything broke - he could fix it. He roped a pig from the back legs, was cracking whips in his driveway, made beautiful hand made hearty whips and literally there is nothing he has not done. This man could fill a room with his experiences and his stories of his family. I grew to love him through the years like a father of my own. He will have my heart forever. RIP sweet Clarence.
