Carol Ann Razi's Obituary
Carol Ann Razi, 81, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Born November 3, 1937. She was the daughter of the late William and Katherine (Ilasenko) Rockliff.
She was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She was Salutatorian of her class at East Commerce High and earned speed awards in typing and shorthand. Following graduation, she attended the University of Detroit and Wayne State University in addition to working at the Detroit Public School System. She married Dr. Dean M. Razi in 1960 and they started their family together.
In 1976, the family moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. She was an officer of the Pinellas County Medical Auxiliary for many years and also worked in Dr. Razi's office as a medical secretary and receptionist.
Carol was an animal lover and had many dogs as companions. Her current pet was Rusty, a Jack Russell terrier. Although near the end of her life, she physically was not able to care for Rusty, she was always overjoyed when Rusty came for a visit. Carol was also an avid reader, loved history and archaeology, and collected hundreds of movies. She really enjoyed listening to music, especially classical and opera.
Survivors include her loving sons, Cameron D. (Deanna House) Razi, Neal J. (Sarah Fish) Razi, James C. (Kelly) Razi; her sister, Bonnie J. VanName; as well as her 2 grandchildren, Mathew and James Razi. Carol was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Dean M. Razi.
Funeral Service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 11005 North Highway 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592 on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2:30pm. Visitation 1:30-2:30pm. Graveside Service will follow chapel service at Sunset Memory Gardens at 3:30pm. Flowers are welcome!
