Willis Coleman Fender's Obituary
Willis Coleman Fender, 89, passed away May 21, 2015. He was born June 18, 1925 in Bartow, Florida to the late Caulie E. and Lillian (Pendarvis) Fender. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Marjorie (just last month); brothers, Caulie Jr., Elwood and Lloyd; and sister, Ethel.
Willis came to Hillsborough County 60 years ago from Lenox, Georgia. He was a cabinet maker and a member of the Carpenters Union as well as East Point Assembly of God. Willis enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Belinda Fulghum of Valrico, Florida; son, Charles Fender and his wife Tracy of Eufaula, Alabama; brothers, Donald Fender and his wife Sylvia of Tampa; James Fender and his wife Peggy of Moultrie, Georgia; and Julian Fender and his wife Betty of Sun City Center, Florida; sisters, Carolyn Sumner of Omega, Georgia and Inez Gandy and her husband Billy of Tampa; grandchildren, Lori and Stephanie and great grandchildren, Brittany, Vanessa, Justin, Sierra and Ty.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 11:00 to 11:30 AM at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral will begin at 11:30 AM followed by interment and Military Honors in Sunset Memory Gardens.
