WILLIAM “BILL” GORDON STEARNS of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away on May 23, 2025. He was born in Valley Cottage, New York on July 3, 1939. Bill graduated from Nyack High School. He was married to Rose Peterson on September 26, 1959. Bill worked for Tampa Electric Company and Poe and Brown before retiring. He served in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army, and he was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his Wife, Rose Peterson Stearns, his Daughter, Rose Leto (Vincent Leto), Grandchildren, Katherine “Katie” Whited (Jerry) and William “Will” Leto (Emily), as well as Great Grandchildren, Logan and Emma Whited. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Harry and Edna Stearns, his Sister, Florence Toohey, and Brothers, Harry and James Stearns. Funeral services will be held at Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial on June 2, 2025 at 1030 am (705 E Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511).
