Walter Eubon Jones Sr.'s Obituary
In the early morning of Tuesday, August 8, 2017, Walter Eubon Jones left this earthly life to join his beloved wife LaVerne of 65 years who had died just eight weeks earlier.
He was preceded in death by wife, LaVerne, parents Ollie & Walter Jones, and seven brothers and sisters. He is survived by brother Bill (Geri), three sisters-in-law, three children Walter Jones Jr. (Patricia Jordan), Dennis W. Jones (Kathryn), and Shirley J. Mitchell (John), 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and nieces, nephews and cousins too many to number.
“Walt” was a career firefighter who retired as an acting District Chief for the City of Tampa Fire Dept. The City of Tampa Fire Rescue will provide full Fire Department honors at the service and interment on Friday morning.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:00 AM.
Interment with honors will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 US 301, Thonotosassa, Fla.
In lieu of flowers and in recognition of his commitment to Christian missions and spreading the Gospel, the family requests donations in support of his niece who serves as a teacher and missionary in Chiang Rai, Thailand:
