Virginia Perez's Obituary
Virginia Pérez nació en Camoapa, Municipio de Boaco, Nicaragua el 23 de Julio de
1936. Sus padres fueron Oscar Reyes y María Auxiliadora Guevara. Ella tuvo tres
hermanos: Alicia Reyes, Oscar Alfredo Reyes y le sobre vive Zenelia Blandon.
Virginia contrajo matrimonio con Jerónimo Pérez Castro el 15 de Septiembre de 1956
en la ciudad de Matagalpa, Nicaragua. Procrearon 9 hijos de los cuales le sobreviven 7
hijos: Maria Elena, Damaris del Socorro (fallecida), Esther, Loyda Alicia (fallecida), Ruth
Zenelia, Jerónimo, Israel Roberto, Obed, and Raquel.

Se destacó en el área de la educación ejerciendo en la profesión de maestra, la cual le
ayudaría a nivel ministerial.
Virginia Pérez junto con su esposo fueron llamados por Dios para servirle de tiempo
completo en plantación de nuevas congregaciones y pastorear iglesia ya establecidas.
Se desempeñó en diferentes áreas como maestra de Escuela Dominical, directora del
ministerio de damas en la iglesia local en Nicaragua y Colombia.
También fue pastora principal de la congregación del Centro Evangelistico de Bonanza
en la ciudad de Bogotá, Colombia del 1982 a 1986. Junto con su esposo el pastor
Jerónimo fueron los fundadores de la congregación del Centro Cristiano Hispano, en la
ciudad de Brandon, Florida Estados Unidos. Allí dirigió el grupo de oración del día
Martes por más de 25 años, y fue directora del ministerio de damas por 30 años.
Todo este trabajo ministerial lo realizo con toda dedicación, entrega y esmero.
Solo nos queda hacer énfasis en uno de los pasajes de la biblia que siempre lo tuvo
muy en cuenta en su ministerio y fue:
Siervos inútiles somos, pues lo que debíamos hacer, hicimos. (Lucas 17:10b)
Fue llamada a la presencia de Dios el día Martes 21 de Enero del 2025 a la 1:04 de la
madrugada.

Virginia Perez was born in Camoapa, Municipality of Boaco, Nicaragua on July 23,
1936. Her parents were Oscar Reyes and Maria Auxiliadora Guevara. She had three
siblings: Alicia Reyes, Oscar Alfredo Reyes, and Zenelia Blandon—of whom only
Zenelia is still living.
Virginia married Jerónimo Perez Castro on September 15, 1956 in the city of
Matagalpa, Nicaragua. They had 9 children of which 7 children survive her: Maria
Elena, Damaris del Socorro (deceased), Esther, Loyda Alicia (deceased), Ruth Zenelia,
Jerónimo, Israel Roberto, Obed, and Raquel.
She excelled in the area of education, working as a teacher, which would help her at the
ministerial level.
Virginia Perez along with her husband were called by God to serve Him full time in
planting new congregations and pastoring already established churches. She served in
different areas as a Sunday School teacher and director of the women's ministry in the
local church in both Nicaragua and Colombia. She was also the Senior Pastor of the
congregation of the Bonanza Evangelistic Center in the city of Bogotá, Colombia from
1982 to 1986. Together with her husband Pastor Jeronimo, they were the founders of
the congregation of the Centro Cristiano Hispano in the city of Brandon, Florida, United
States. There she led the Tuesday prayer group for more than 25 years and was
director of the woman’s ministry for 30 years.
She did all this ministerial work with dedication, commitment and care. In her honor, we
want to emphasize this passage that was the basis of her life and ministry:
‘We are unworthy servants who have simply done our duty.’ (Luke 17:10b NLT)
Virginia Perez was called into the presence of God on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at
1:04 a.m.
