Verna Emily Kurtz's Obituary
Verna Emily Kurtz, 77, entered into the arms of her Savior on January 21, 2018. She was born February 5, 1940 in Sugarcreek, Ohio to the late Lester and Ida Miller. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Freeman L. Miller and her sister Ruth Jackson.
Verna retired as a CNA from Magnolia Nursing Home where she ministered to many patients over the years.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Don; sons Randy Kurtz and his wife Marion of Calgary, Canada; Nathan Kurtz and his wife Sheri of Covington, Georgia; Darryl Kurtz and his wife Jenny of Berlin, Ohio; daughter, Brenda Miller and her husband Dave of Middlebury, Indiana; 9 grandchildren, Ryan, Sean, Karina, Jedidiah, Katie, Westin, Colby, Garrett and Reagan; and 2 great grandchildren, Riley and Kathryn.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 4 to 8 pm and Wednesday from 10 to 11 am at Bethel Mennonite Church, 2985 Bethel Way, Sarasota, Florida 34240. Funeral will be Wednesday at 11 am. Interment will be private for the family in Bethel Mennonite Cemetery.
