It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving, wise, talented, and funny Dad, Thomas Tiwardo Harrell, age 59, who passed away on November 21, 2025. Thomas was extremely loved by his wife, son, daughters, mother, friends, family, and all who knew him.
Born in Plymouth, North Carolina, June 8th 1966, Thomas was a thoughtful person who brought joy wherever he went. He loved cooking, relaxing at home, lounging at the beach, and spending time with those that meant the most to him. He was an example of a hardworking man who cared deeply and loved hard. Thomas never needed much to be at peace. He always wanted to make sure that everyone else was okay, and that was good enough for him. He taught those he left behind to be strong, to keep their word, and that their best is always good enough.
Thomas married his high school sweetheart, “Joy” Beverly (Patron), on February 2, 1991, in Hollywood, Florida. They welcomed their son, Aaron, in 1993, their eldest daughter, Jasmin, in 1996, and their youngest daughter, Maxine, in 1997. They raised their family in Temple Terrace, Florida, and have been blessed with a quiet and love-filled life together.
Thomas affectionately called Tiwardo, was a devoted dad and husband. Our dad would make jokes until laughing hurt. He would stop everything to listen to us, talk with us through our thoughts and feelings, and hold us for as long as we needed. Our parents had a special bond. They built a life centered around their kids and did everything to make sure we succeeded. The love they share is enough to carry us until we all meet again.
Thomas’s life will be celebrated every day, and his family invites you to join our celebration on Sunday, November 30th. Thomas’s dear friend and brother in Christ of 36 years, Pastor Dwayne Williams, will officiate the service.
Thomas is survived by his soulmate and wife of 34 years 4 months (40 together), Beverly; his firstborn son, Aaron; and his daughters, Jasmin and Maxine. Thomas’s legacy of love, light, and passion continues to live on and empower all who knew him. We thank Our Lord and Savior for blessing us with a man like Thomas Tiwardo Harrell.
