When my mom and I first visited in Virginia, grandma Theresa was waiting by the door to welcome us, hugged us and said we are both part of the family. She really meant what she said because from then on, she treated us as if we really are members of her family. At her advanced age, she can still recall memories as far back from her childhood and parts of her life that she so fondly shares with me during our conversations over meals. I will forever cherish these conversations, our games of scrabbles, or simply watching her favorite tv shows in her room. A sharp and witty woman who loves her family dearly. Love you grandma Theresa, I will miss you!
