Terry Elizabeth Mattos Dupuis' Obituary
Terry Elizabeth Mattos Dupuis, 70, of Temple Terrace, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family.
Terry was a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved flowers and plants. In particular, she loved orchids. She was always finding a new color or rare variety. Terry was also a music lover, she went to all the top rock band shows throughout her life, holding on to the ticket stubs as proof of each memorable experience. More than anything, Terry loved her grandchildren. They brought her so much joy. She would bring them new toys and treats each time she saw them.
As anyone who knew Terry could tell you, she was an amazing friend. She was always there with a warm hug or good advice for anyone who needed it. She gave a listening ear and understanding with no judgement. When you had her in your corner, you were fortunate.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marion Mattos, and a brother, Johnny Mattos.
She is survived by her children; son, Shawn Mattos and daughter Lisa (Nick) Wingo; grandchildren, Nicole Taveras, and Vanessa Wingo; great-grandchildren, Elijah Mihai, Josiah Mihai, and Aaliyah Mahai; and 2 sisters, Carol (Steve) Ficarrotta, and Linda Mattos; as well as countless friends.
Terry was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Terry’s life will be celebrated at a memorial graveside inurnment on January 24, 2026, at 10am, Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 US Hwy 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592.
