Ted A. Jernigan Jr.'s Obituary
Teddy Jernigan, 62, of Seffner, FL passed away in his home on Thursday, February 6, 2020.
Teddy was born on June 29, 1957 to Robbie Jernigan and the late Ted A. Jernigan Sr. In Tampa, FL. He was an avid racer and loved driving. He won Tampa Tribune Driver of the Year in 1975 and could be found at either East Bay Raceway or Golden Gate Speedway. He touched a lot of lives through his life, never meeting a stranger, and he will always be remembered fondly for his big heart and giving spirit. He loved his family and friends above all else, and always put others before himself. He will be deeply and sorely missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his father, Teddy was predeceased by his nephew, Alec Williams.
He is survived by his mother, Robbie Edwards; stepfather, Frank Edwards; Sisters, Vicky Panoff, Kathy (Mike) Williams, Tracy Amos, and Susan (Dennis) Chernuke; brothers, Jeff (Tina) Jernigan, David (Jen) Edwards; nieces and nephews, Kaci (Brady) Chason, Jeffrey (Ashley) Jernigan Jr., Chad (Kendra) Williams, Robert Panoff, Dylan (Taylor) Jernigan, and Chase Williams; and many great-nieces and great-nephews that he adored.
A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home & Memory Gardens. Burial will follow in our cemetery.
