Sylvia Ann Martinez's Obituary
Sylvia Ann Martinez, 84, a lifelong Tampa resident, peacefully passed away on February 7, 2020.
She was a loving wife to her husband, Roland, of 60 years before his passing in 2013.
Mom, Luli, Gammy, Mami, Grammy was wonderfully devoted to her three children and four grandchildren who she was so very passionate and proud of. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School, a wonderful homemaker, and a teacher’s aide at Mitchell Elementary for many years.
From Baseball, Softball, Football, to dance recitals Mom and Dad were always there to support sports and all activities, and were the greatest fans.
She leaves behind her children, Ronnie (Valerie), Randy (Ellen), and Sharon (Denny); grandchildren, Christina (Brendan), Corey, Nico, and Nyssa; along with her great grandchild, Ember.
She is survived by her cousins, Jerry “Boy” Santana and Evangelina “Eva” Vior.
A Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM Thursday, February 13 at Sunset Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life at 2 PM. Burial will follow the service in the Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
