Susan Elizabeth Brown's Obituary
We are sad to announce the passing of Susan Elizabeth Brown, 66, of St. Petersburg, on November 4, 2023. Susan passed surrounded by family and close friends after a long battle with COPD. She was raised in South Tampa and was a member of Palma Ceia United Methodist Church.
Susan was the youngest of 5 children. She graduated from H.B. Plant High School, and later Florida State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree. She worked in the food service industry for several years. Susan was the manager of D.J.s and Skipper’s Oyster Bar for more than ten years. She also worked for Kraft and Dannon.
Susan was a Girl Scout for nine years, where she developed a deep love for the great outdoors, which she shared with her beloved Beagle dog, B.J. on their many camping trips.
Susan loved a good time filled with love and laughter with her lifelong friends, she always wanted to see everyone enjoying themselves and having fun.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Pauline Brown; her sister, Erolyn Rone; and 2 brothers, Thomas and Kent Brown.
Susan is survived by her loving sister, Caryl (Steve) Thompson, several nieces and nephews; lifetime friends, Sarah Rouleau, Sandy Thomas, Annie Renshaw, Tammy Case, Jennifer Darter; and her extra special nephew, Randy Rone.
At Susan’s request, there will be no formal funeral service, but hopefully, thinking of her will always bring a smile to your face.
