Steven Alan Kern's Obituary
KERN, STEVEN A – passed into Jesus' arms July 17, 2024. He had a warm, gregarious personality, loved to tell a joke. He taught himself to play drums, and played and sang with many bands over more than 20 years. He worked in the airline industry fueling planes, and with the local county government as a mail clerk. His favorite vacation was visiting his hometown, Allentown, PA. Steve enjoyed golf and played in a regular foursome for years, he also was a big train fan, he followed several friends' websites. He loved sports, and was a fan of the Rays, Bucs, and Bolts. Steve loved his family most and kept in touch with everyone.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Becki, his brothers Mark (Mia) and Russ (Sherry) and their children, and many cousins from both sides of his family. His parents predeceased him in 2011.
A memorial service will be held at Hope Bible Church of Tampa, 5706 N Hesperides St, Tampa FL 33614 on July 27, 2024 at 2 pm. Refreshments to follow in the fellowship hall.
