Stanford Leo Hodges' Obituary
Stanford (Stan) Leo Hodges, 78, of Temple Terrace went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 18, 2014.
Stan was born in Homeland, Florida on March 15th, 1936 to the late John Bertram Hodges and Nellie Clyde Hodges. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Stan was a dedicated member of Riverdale Baptist Church in Temple Terrace where he served the Lord faithfully as the church pianist.
Stan is survived by his wife of 59 years, Arlene Hodges of Temple Terrace, his sons, Mark Hodges of Tampa, Danny Hodges of Temple Terrace, Ted Hodges of Temple Terrace, Nathan Hodges of Brooksville and Jerry Hodges of Temple Terrace. He is also survived by his daughters Cathy Paularinne of Temple Terrace, Amy Dion of Lutz, Marilyn Burgess of Temple Terrace, and Sylvia Hodges of Seffner as well as 20 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
A viewing and funeral will be held this Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church of Thonotosassa. The viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Thonotosassa.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Riverdale Baptist Church of Temple Terrace for the construction of the Peter Paularinne Family Life Center.
