Severina Abresch's Obituary
Serevina "Lina" Abresch, 91, passed away June 20, 2017 in Land of Lakes, Florida. She was born in the city of Sona in the Republic of Panama on January 8th, 1926; to the late Sylvestre Franco and Josefa Caraballo. She and her family emigrated to Tampa in 1985 from Panama. Serevina was of the catholic faith and believed in caring for the less fortunate in various communities. She was an amusement park "junkie" going to Disney, Bush Gardens and fun places really made the family life exciting. Traveling to Chicago, Wisconsin doing long road trips through out the U.S. were a big part of family time. Everyone raved about her great cooking too. Serevina was said to have the greenest thumb around she could bring back plants from the brink; she raised flowers and plants and loved to garden. As a young woman in Panama she helped with the family cattle ranch, and also ran a convenient store that served all the workers from various Brahams cattle ranches. She also dabbled in real-estate too.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband William "Bill" Abresch Sr. Married 56 years they raised four children. To carry on the legacy of their mom's memory are her son
Ernie Abresch of Fresno, CA, daughter Zoraida Abresch of Santa Barbara, CA, son William "Bill" Abresch Jr. and John Abresch both of Land O Lakes, Florida.
Serevina's surviving siblings reside in Panama her sisters Lucy Franco, Maria Augustine and brother Jorge Franco will hold her dear to their hearts.
To pass the thought of caring for the less fortunate the family would ask that charitable donations can be made to The Salvation Army or to Saint Joseph's Hospital Outreach.
