Sandra May Cardin's Obituary
Sandra May Cardin, 74 died on Monday, February 10, 2020 at home in Tampa.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Roland Cardin, daughter Michele (Cardin) Bailey and four grandchildren, brothers Bill, David, and Emory Stouffer and sister Charlotte (Stouffer) Brink.
Daughter of William and Margaret Stouffer, “Sandy” was born on December 6, 1945 and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She graduated from Caledonia High School in 1964 and received her BS degree in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University in 1968.
Sandy was a 3rd grade elementary teacher and was passionate about affecting her students in the most positive way. She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as chatting with friends and family, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. Sandy had a passion for her family and you would frequently find her cheering on her grandchildren in sporting events and musical performances. Whether at the local hockey rink, tennis courts, school or nightclub stage, she loved to support her grandchildren and spend time with the family.
Sandy enjoyed traveling and visited many interesting locales including the Panama Canal and Central America, Alaska and the Rocky Mountains, Canadian Maritimes, and Europe as well. And, no matter where she went, she never met a stranger! She loved to chat with anyone and everyone, bringing friendliness and joy everywhere she went.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, after which she will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens with a reception to follow.
