Rosendo Alfredo Castillo Jr's Obituary
Rosendo Alfredo Castillo Jr., age 50, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, at his home, due to respiratory heart failure. Born in Methuen, Massachusetts and raised in Tampa, Florida, Rosendo was a man whose passion for life was as vibrant as his captivating smile. From a young age, his love for cars became a cornerstone of his identity. At just 11 years old, with bold spirit and boundless curiosity, he taught himself how to drive—taking his father’s stick-shift car on an unforgettable journey from the driveway to the neighbor’s driveway. Rosendo’s enthusiasm extended far beyond his love of cars. He was an avid sports fan and a devoted family man, always creating memories that would last a lifetime—like watching the World Series with his beloved nephew and cherished Abuelo. His impeccable sense of style was unmistakable; he never left the house without being fashionably coordinated, exuding charm and confidence with every step. A lifelong learner with a sharp mind and natural curiosity, Rosendo absorbed knowledge with ease. His ability to connect with people and contagious laugh were extraordinary—turning strangers into friends through heartfelt conversations, always leaving others feeling seen and heard. Rosendo is preceded in death by his dedicated father (Rosendo Alfredo Castillo Sr.) and is survived by his loving mother (Lucy Castillo); three younger brothers (Eduardo, Victor and Elliot); a younger sister (Erika); his treasured Abuelo (Plinio); a devoted nephew (Cy) and adoring niece (Annika); and a close-knit circle of extended family, including aunts who were like second mothers and cousins who were like siblings. A treasured son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend—Rosendo’s warmth, charisma, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
