Rose Marie Dickey's Obituary
Rose Marie Dickey, age 90, joined her family and friends in Heaven with Jesus, her Lord and Savior on April 28, 2026. She was born in Lebanon, Indiana on August 28, 1935. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She served employers in the Tampa area as a bookkeeper, retiring early in 1980. She was an avid and skilled seamstress, making all types of clothing from the time she was a teenager to making dresses for her grand-daughter. She loved to travel, having been to nearly all of the 50 states and to the Caribbean.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. Dickey, and her parents and her 5 siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Sheryle Birdsong (Richard) and Deanna Newman (Vern); her grandchildren, Brian Brueggert, Daniel Brueggert, Rachel Gray (Alan), and Ozzie Birdsong; her great grandchildren Hunter Gray, Alex Birdsong, and Skylar Gray.
Visitation and Service will be held at the Sunset Funeral Home, 11005 N US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592 beginning at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, May 6, 2026. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Lifepath Hospice.
