Roberta Jean Edgens' Obituary
Roberta Jean Edgens, age 88, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2021 in Sun City Center, FL. She was born to Bertha (Adams) and Hilburn Barry on September 20, 1932 in Buffalo, Missouri.
Jean was raised on a farm and attended a one room schoolhouse until she was ten years old. She loved to travel all around the United States. She was passionate about making wedding and proms dressed and will be remembered for her generosity. Jean was often found donating her time, clothing and money to others in need.
Survivors include one son, Gary Edgens; one granddaughter, Michelle Sanders; one great grandson, Kian William Sanders; sister in law, Shirley Berry and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Edgens; two sons, Roy Sanders and Larry Edgens and two brothers, Carl Berry and Ellis Berry.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, June 21, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one prior, from 10:00am-11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Sunset Memory Gardens. Please join the family after the burial for a reception with refreshments inside the funeral home.
