Robert W. Geoffrion's Obituary
Robert W. Geoffrion, 72, passed away March 12, 2016. He was born September 21, 1943 in Waltham, Massachusetts to the late Lucien and Dorothy (Wright) Geoffrion.
Robert came to the Tampa Bay area in 1953 from Waltham. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of Police. He served 12 years on the Tampa Police Department and then served in Arkansas for the Garland County Sheriff’s Department. He was the Town Marshall for Cave City and later a security guard for Securitas. For fun, Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and going to the gun range. He had earned awards for his skills when he was on the Tampa Police Pistol Team.
Left to cherish his memory are his fiancé, Myrna Toney; former wife, Esther Geoffrion-Powell; sons, Robert and his wife Lisa of Deridder, LA; Bernard and his wife, Kathy of Tombstone, Arizona; and Barry and his wife Kelly of Cushman, Arkansas; brothers, Luke and his wife Kathy of Dallas, Texas; and Richard and his wife Pat of Zephyrhills, Florida; sister, Pauline Cross and her husband John of Ventura, California; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Sunset Funeral Home, 11005 N. US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, Florida. Memories and condolences may be left online at www.sunset-fh.com.
