Richard Keith McGath's Obituary
Richard Keith McGath, 74, passed away January 14, 2017. He was born September 2, 1942 in Batavia, Illinois to the late Lloyd and Vanetta (Spoonamore) McGath. He will also be joining his older sister Donna Peterson and younger brother Roger McGath in heaven.
Richard originally came to Sarasota in 1976 from Geneva, Illinois. He also lived in Cloud Croft, New Mexico before recently returning to Sarasota. He was a Christian and enjoyed playing football when he was younger. He was very gifted at custom wood working and remodeling as well as a gifted electrician by trade. Richard loved his dogs and driving his Jeep.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Kay; daughter, Heather Bates and her husband Chris of Boca Raton, Florida; sons, Casey McGath and his wife Paige of Nokomis and Quinn McGath and his wife Kim of Sarasota; sister, Patricia Archer of Cave Creek, Arizona; grandchildren, Leighton, Harper, Kellen, Jessie, Reed and Tanner; and great grandson, Landon.
