Randolph "Randy" Harden's Obituary
Randolph “Randy” Harden, 88, passed away February 20, 2015. He was born February 15, 1927 in Metter, Georgia to the late John Slater Harden and Nancy Jane (Copeland) Harden. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by wife, Joan Elaine Harden; sister, Evelyn; and brothers, Quincy and Howard.
Randy came to Hillsborough County in 1960 from Brentwood Park, Maryland. He served our country in the US Army. He retired from Reeves Southeastern Wire Fence Company after 38 years of service. Randy enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and travel.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, John Slater Harden and his wife Caroline of Thonotosassa, Florida; daughters, Barbara Bertels and her husband Douglas of Riverview, Florida; Cheryl Glass and her husband David of Lake City, Florida; and Rochelle Mock and her husband Michael of Tampa, Florida; sisters, Peggy Stokes and Opal Shaw, both of Pensacola, Florida; grandchildren, Jonathon, Christian, Tina, Amanda, Joshua, Jarred, Nina and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Jenna-Rae and Rylann.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 11005 N. US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, Florida. Funeral will begin at 12:00 noon. Interment and military honors will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
