Rafael Antonio Nazario's Obituary
Rafael Antonio Nazario 87 of Tampa, FL passed away on October 26, 2021. Rafael was born on June 29, 1934 in Bayamon Puerto Rico. He was raised by his mother Maria Nazario and stepfather Anibal Tossas. His family emigrated to New York City in 1944. He attended school in Manhattan in the East side. During the time he enjoyed playing basketball with his friends and working on cars with his stepfather. On 1955 Rafael married Milagros Cotto. Together they raised 6 children 4 boys and 2 girls. He worked in an ice cream factory making and delivering ice cream for 20 years. Then he moved to Staten Island, New York where he got a job working for the New York City Housing Authority as a Ground worker and Truck Driver until he retired in 1994.He moved to Tampa, Fl where he has been ever since. Rafael is preceded in death by his wife Milagros and two sons Anibal Nazario and Antonio Nazario. He is survived by his children Rafael Nazario JR, Eduardo Nazario, Milagros Martinez and Lissette Ruiz. His grandchildren Eduardo Nazario JR, Selina Perez, Giovanni Avenoso, Juvenal Avenoso, Eliana Avenoso, Gina Nazario, Alexio Nazario, Nelson Nazario, Marisol Ludwig, Mabel Bello, Emanuel Benitez, Reuben Nazario, Keano Nazario, Carlos Ruiz, Sebastian Ruiz, Viviana Ruiz. Plus his great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday November 2, 2021 at 12:00pm noon at Sunset Funeral Home.
