Phaith Lynn Bates' Obituary
Phaith Lynn Bates, 45, passed away August 18, 2016. She was born March 20, 1971 in Tampa and was a lifelong resident of Clearwater. She is preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Wilson Stiles.
Phaith was a 3rd generation Marine. Her son Jerry is now serving in Iraq as a 4th generation to serve and her husband retired from the USMC as well. Phaith was so proud of her family and loved nothing more than to spend time and support them in whatever sports and activities they are involved with.
Phaith was married to her highschool sweetheart Jerry Lee Bates II, together they spent 26 and a half years raising their 3 children and traveling the world with the United States Marine Corps. Also left to cherish her memory are her, son, Jerry Lee Bates III and his wife Heven of Louisville, Kentucky; daughters, Ashley Marie Bates and Kerri LeAnn Bates, both of Trinity, Florida; mother and step-father, Kathryn and Harold Banter of Hudson, Florida; sisters, Dawn Miller and her husband Patrick of Morgantown, Kentucky and Jenni Chobot-Fansler and her husband Michael of Bowling Green, Kentucky; father and mother-in-law, Jerry and Jan Bates of Mt. Zion, Illinois; mother-in-law, Nancy Wilking of Effingham, Illi nois; sisters-in law, Martina Gadberry of Sullivan, Illinois and Danielle Bates of Trinity, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
Services are pending but plan to be as follows: visitation on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 11005 N. US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, Florida 33592. Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1:00 pm followed by internment and military honors in Sunset Memory Gardens. Memories and condolences may left online at www.sunset-fh.com.
