Paul John Roundtree Sr.'s Obituary
Paul John Roundtree, Sr. 70, passed away May 1, 2017. He was born April 13, 1947 in Thibodaux, Louisiana to the late Roy and Inez (Ponvelle) Roundtree. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Linda.
Paul came to the Tampa area in 1961 from Thibodaux. He was a member of the East Thonotosassa Baptist Church and the Local Union 624. Paul had been a pipefitter for 42 years. He enjoyed working out at the gym and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Paul John Roundtree Jr. and his wife Tonya of Plant City; daughters, Jeanne Forrest and her husband Bill of Mount Laurel, New Jersey; and Tracie Mejia and her husband Luis of Plant City; sisters, Joyce Morgan and her late husband Tom, of Plant City; and Carolyn Foret and her husband Barry of Plant City; brothers, Roy Roundtree Jr. of Plant City and Leo Roundtree and his wife Meryl of Spokane, Washington; grandchildren, Erin, Paul John III, Taylor, Lindsey, William, Jonathon, Luis Paul and Kayla; and great granddaughter, Willow Jean.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the East Thonotosassa Baptist Church, 12735 Knights Griffin Road, Thonotosassa, Florida 33592. Funeral service will start at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
