Pastora Matilde Rios' Obituary
Pastora Matilde Rios, 96, of Temple Terrace, FL passed away on December 3, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Pastora was born on August 6, 1926, in Havana, Cuba. The youngest daughter of Ricardo Garcia and Nieves Rodriguez. Pastora married Francisco Rios on December 13, 1963 in Havana, Cuba. Her husband passed away on February 11, 2003 in Tampa, FL. Pastora is survived by her only daughter Amarilys (Daniel) Peters. Pastora was preceded in death by her parents and her only older sister Augustina Garcia.
Pastora enjoyed being a housewife, a mother, singing, cooking, painting, listening to instrumental Cuban music, crocheting, and taking long walks. She was an excellent loving daughter, sister, mother, mother-in-law, wife, and friend.
Services to celebrate her life will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home with visitation being from 12pm until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.
