Norma M. Pitzer's Obituary
Norma M. Pitzer, 50, passed away September 5, 2015. She was born September 18, 1964 in Miami, Florida to the late Jose and Angelina (Parrilla) Martinez. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Kelly.
Norma came to Sarasota in 1983 from Hialeah, Florida. She was a Christian and was an inspiration to so many people. She was a member of the Center for Building Hope and enjoyed cycling, kayaking, writing, making cards and Zentangles. Through her battle with breast cancer, Norma was a constant encouragement to those who were also afflicted. She blogged for the Breast Investigators and Living Beyond Breast Cancer. Her words touched many lives.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Sonia Wood and her husband Silas of Sarasota; nieces, Kristina Rummings and her husband Mark of Bradenton and Cynthia Lyons and her husband Bruce of Parrish; and her great nephew, Adam Rummings.
Graveside Service will be Friday, September 18, 2015 at 12:45 PM at Bay Pines National Cemetery. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Center for Building Hope, 5481 Communications Parkway, Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
