Nicholas Samuel Granato Jr.'s Obituary
Nicola Francesco Granato Jr., also known as Nicholas Samuel “Nick” Granato, was called home on June 18, 2026, at the age of 91.
Born on January 23, 1935, in Dayton, Ohio, Nick lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to his family and friends.
A proud veteran, Nick honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War era.
Nick was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Jeanne Granato, and his sisters, Jean and Phyllis.
He leaves behind his three sons, Nick Granato III, Phil Granato (Judi), and Tony Granato (Merry); his two daughters, Kathy Murphy (Chris) and Maria Wright (Dave); 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sisters, Annie and Nancy, and his brother, Frank.
Nick was long retired from the trucking industry, having driven for Lessors Trucking (formerly WW Trucking). His CB handle was “Coffee Cup.”
Nick spent his retirement playing golf and enjoying life at his home in Cookeville, Tennessee, before spending his final four years in Tampa, Florida.
Nick was everyone’s sweetheart of a guy. He never knew a stranger, always had a smile on his face, and was always ready to help pull off a prank to bring laughter to those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
