Mr. Miguel A. Rivera's Obituary
Miguel A. Rivera, 77, of Tampa passed away on July 16,2017. He was born March 8, 1940 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to the late Manuel Rivera and Carmen Centeno. Miguel was preceded in death by his beautiful daughter Yolanda Rivera just a year ago this June. He was a devout Pentecostal christian. Miguel was a man of Great faith, ethics, very fair and lived by strong principles, was generous of heart- truly he was a man of Honor. Small in stature yet Large in Life. Miguel was a very hard working man; in his down time he enjoyed fishing and LOVED spending time with his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 57 years Miriam; though they spent 60 years together. His daughters Deborah Rivera Ortiz(Enrique) and Vivian Rivera both of Tampa will miss their dad a great deal. Son Miguel Rivera ( Iliana) hold a place of pride in his heart along with his name to carry on.
Surviving siblings include his brothers Jesus Rivera (Lucy) of Tampa and Carmello Rivera (Esa) of New York City; they will remember those special times that only brothers share. Sister Luz Ramos (Claudio Falcon) shared a bond that makes the loss difficult.
To carry on Miguel's legecy are his grandchildren Manuel Rivera Jr., Fernando Ortiz, Luis-Giovanni Velez, Vanessa Conroy(Arlene), Nicholas Santanach, Ernesto Rivera, Gabriel Rivera, Samuel Rivera, Abigail Rivera. There are seven great grandchildren who have made history in the third generation of his touching this earth in his name. There are many nieces, nephews, church family and neighbors who also grieve the passing of Miguel A. Rivera.
Services are pending for this Thursday evening at the Iglesia Misionero and for Friday at Sunset Memory Gardens. Please lift the family up in prayer.
