Born in Cuba to Enrique and Amalia Abad, she immigrated with her husband Elier Lorenzo and first born son Elier Alberto in 1956. Completing her family in 1959 with the birth of their daughter Nancy. Since immigrating, she and her family have always lived in the Tampa area.
An avid cook and exceptional baker. She would experiment and create wonderful dishes, with her family being her tasting subjects.
If it didn't turn out the way she wanted, she would say, " here... take it with you". Fortunately it was always good.
