Michelle Fishburn's Obituary
Michelle Kristen (Burris) Fishburn, age 40, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 14, 2025 in Westminster, Colorado, with her husband, soulmate, and best friend Frank by her side. Michelle was beautiful, brilliant, and caring, with an outlandish sense of humor. She grew up in Brandon then lived in Orlando, Tallahassee, Jakarta, Washington D.C., Pittsburgh, and Austin before finally settling at her latest favorite home near the Rockies in Colorado.
She loved traveling, having visited Bali, London, Paris, Japan, Iceland, Norway, and all over America. She was an artist who also loved music, knitting, science, weather, her pet cats, and photography. She had an incredible mind, and was linguistically gifted, learning Bahasa Indonesian, Mandarin Chinese, French, and even a little Russian. She graduated from FSU with a degree in International Affairs and a minor in Mandarin Chinese.
She is survived by her husband Frank Fishburn; parents Sherry and David Burris; sisters Kelly (Ryan) Wilson, Nicole Burris, and Kristi (Andrew) Coppenger; nephews/nieces Zachary, Evan, Rubianti, and Abigail; mother-in-law Marie Fishburn; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also leaves behind dozens of friends whom she loved dearly and who will sadly miss her. Michelle will live on in our hearts forever as one of the most beautiful, witty, and compassionate people anyone could ever know.
Memorial service will be held from 4-6 p.m. on May 17 at Sunset Memory Gardens in Thonotosassa, FL.
