Michael Schipano's Obituary
Michael John Schipano, age 55, died on Sunday, July 19th at home with his mother and husband at his side.
Michael was born July 12th, 1971 in Queens New York, to John and Janet Lobosco Schipano. Michael and his family moved to Florida in 1980. Michael was a proud lifelong Catholic and attended Sacred Heart Elementary and in 1990 graduated from Tampa Catholic High School where he built lifelong friendships and was a member of the wrestling team. Michael earned his license in Cosmetology and began a successful career as a hair stylist.
Soon after graduation from Cosmetology school, Michael started his career at the esteemed Bostonian Hair Salon in Tampa Florida for over 20 years. It was there that Michael honed his skills and built an extremely loyal clientele as well as enhanced his natural business acumen through his Bostonian family.
Michael and Fred began their relationship in Feb 2001 and were married on a beautiful day, Nov 4th, 2013 in Central Park NYC surrounded by his immediate family and close friends.
In 2011 Michael opened his own business, HairStyle Salon, in Lutz Florida. Michael was extremely proud of this accomplishment and loved the atmosphere he created where his clients were comfortable and he was able to be a mentor to his team. Through the salon, Michael sponsored numerous charity events, provided extensive training through Redken educators and won a best new business award from the chamber of commerce.
In addition to having a career that brought him so much satisfaction, Michael also loved music (80’s alternative), traveling, being a car enthusiast, true crime television, home renovation, fashion and first and foremost, spending time with his family.
Michael will be remembered for so many things, including his kindness, generosity, compassion, strength, and most importantly, his unconditional love for family.
Michael is preceded in death by his father John Schipano, grandfather Michael Lobosco and beloved grandmother Madeline Lobosco (Nanny). Michael is survived by his husband, Fred Davis, his mother Janet Lobosco Schipano, Sister Desire’e Schipano Torres (Rudy), Niece Kristina Schipano Kasak (Chris), Nephew Cody Torres (Jessica), Niece Sara Torres, Great Niece Olivia Kasak and great nephew Ty Kasak.
A graveside service will be held on July 23rd at 3pm at Sunset Memory Gardens in Thonotosassa. The family will welcome friends and family after the service at Michael and Fred’s home.
