Mary B. Rabon's Obituary
Rabon, Mary B., 93, of Tampa, died peacefully at home on October 13th, 2017 while surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was predeceased by her husband, parents and sister, Ada Kazel.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Suzanne Manicchia and her husband Barney; Victoria Rabon; Donna Norby and her husband Rick; Lisa Garcia; Nanette Mendell and her husband Albert; grandchildren, Michael McKinney and his wife Michelle; Bryan Manicchia, Sheri Manicchia Kress and her husband Dana, Ashley Ramirez and her husband Jessie, Nena Garcia, A.J. Garcia and Amber Norby; and six great grandchildren.
Born in Vona Eichel, Germany in 1924, with her family, they moved out of war torn Germany to New York when she was 12 years old. At 18, she worked as an overseas telephone operator, where she met the love of her life, our dad. After knowing each other for only 5 days, they got married. He went off to war and returned after two years. They were married for 73 years.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Remona Hewitt for her tireless and unconditional care as well to Terrance Colston.
There will be a visitation on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 11005 N. US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, Florida 33592. Funeral Service will begin at noon followed by entombment in Sunset Memory Gardens.
