Mary Hood's Obituary
Mary Hood, age 76, formerly of Cherry Lake Florida, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Advent Hospice in Tampa Florida.
Mary was born to Monroe and Emma Collins on April 15, 1945 in Pikeville, Kentucky. Mary was an avid seamstress and worked for Madison House Furniture, as a quilter for many years. Mary was also a former Sunday School Teacher and member of Cherry Lake Baptist Church.
Mary is predeceased by her parents Monroe and Emma Collins, her loving husband of 50 years, Jack Hood, her brother Troy Collins, Sr. a son in law, Sammy Harry and her grandson, Jason Blamy.
Mary is survived by her loyal pet and best friend, her dog Pee Wee, loving sister Shirley Brooks of Tampa, FL, her son, Jack Hood Jr. (Dana) of Brooksville FL, Her 4 daughters, Theresa Williams (Lee) of Pinetta Fl, Linda Gillis (James) of Wilson North Carolina, Dianna Harry (Jay) of Golden IL and step-daughter, Darlene Jones (David) of Tennessee, 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
Mary will rest at Sunset Memory Gardens.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date at her home in Tampa FL.
Mary loved the Lord and knew she had a Heavenly Home.
