Marjorie Waters' Obituary
Marjorie Waters was a woman whose life was a beautiful reflection of kindness, sweetness, and unwavering faith. She passed peacefully on April 11,2026 She touched the hearts of everyone who knew her with her gentle spirit, warm smile, and the genuine love she so freely gave.
Marjorie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted and loving mother to Kathleen (Jerry) Ezell, Susan (Johnny) Cordell, and Bonnie (Allen) Frier, Polly (Joe) Copeland, and Christopher Waters. Her legacy continues to grow through her eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and eighteen great-great-grandchildren—each one a testament to the love and foundation she built throughout her life.
She carried a deep and abiding trust in the Lord, which guided her through every season of life. Her faith was not only something she believed, but something she lived daily through her compassion, her strength, and her quiet grace. Whether through a kind word, a shared meal or cup of Cuban coffee, or simply her presence, Marjorie made others feel seen, valued, and loved.
Marjorie truly never met a stranger. She had a special gift for making everyone feel like family the moment she met them. With her playful spirit and warm personality, she could light up any room often charming others with her sweet nature and a little bit of harmless flirting that always brought smiles and laughter. She also loved to dance, and you could often find her moving to the music with joy in her heart, embracing life’s simple pleasures.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Wesley Waters, her daughter Polly (Joe) Copeland, and her son Christopher Waters. Today, we find comfort in knowing she has been reunited with them and now rests in eternal peace.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18
Marjorie will be remembered not only for the life she lived, but for the love she gave so abundantly. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
Her life was a gift. Her love was a blessing. Her memory will be cherished forever.
Well-done, good and faithful servant.
