Mario M. Vina's Obituary
Mario M. Vina, 88, passed away March 25, 2016. He was born July 22, 1927 in Camaguey, Cuba to the late Pablo and Luisa (Hernandez) Vina. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Esperonza.
Mario came to Tampa in 1969 from Cuba. He was a Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved nothing more than to be with his family. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Carmen Garces and her husband David Menendez of Tampa; and Luisa Alvarez and her husband Jorge also of Tampa; son, Mario Vina and his wife Kerry of Spring Hill; sisters, Nilda Gonzalez and Nelva Ramentol, both of Tampa; grandchildren, John, Mercedes, Jorge, Mario, Marcus, Robbie and Julian; great-grandchildren, Jorge, Aiden, Jackson, Rylin and Amelia; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a gathering of friends and family on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 11:00 to 11:45 am at Sunset Funeral Home, 11005 N. US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, Florida 33592. Graveside will follow at noon in Sunset Memory Gardens.
