Maria Zorida Rosa's Obituary
Maria “Mari” Zorida Rosa, 67, of Tampa, passed away into the loving arms of the lord on June 6, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Mari was born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico the daughter of Maria Rodriguez Reyes and the late Luis Reyes Lugo. She relocated to Bridgeport, CT as a child where she spent most of her adult life in service to others working at St. Vincent’s Hospital. She then made her way to Tampa, Florida to live closer to her loving children. Mari loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild. She was known to have the best snacks and candy, which often got her and her grandchildren into trouble. Prior to her passing she was celebrated with a birthday gathering surrounded by family and friends from all over Florida and Connecticut.
Mari leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Lisa Marie and her husband Shawn Ortiz as well as Angel Luis and his wife Denise Martinez, grandchildren Christina and Conrad Diaz, Melissa and Shawn Ortiz, Angel III , Aiden and Andre Martinez and her great granddaughter Idalise Rose Diaz. Mari is also survived by her mother Maria Rodrigues Reyes, father Carlos Algarin, siblings Nirma Reyes, Luis (Maria) Reyes, Juan Reyes ,Yvette Hernandez and her many nieces and nephews.
Mari was predeceased by her son Angel Luis Jr. her father Luis Reyes Lugo and brother Hector Ivan Reyes .
