Maria del Carmen Juarbe-Rodriguez's Obituary
María del Carmen Juarbe-Rodríguez, 79, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2022, surrounded by her family.
María was born on December 5, 1942, in Florida, Puerto Rico, the first daughter of Manuel Juarbe and Antonia Rodríguez. Maria “Viyiya” is survived by 3 other siblings, her beloved husband of 59 years, Angel Colón, her only son “Junito” Angel Colón Juarbe and his wife Mónica Buitrago.
María, also known as “Doña Miriam” by her friends, enjoyed sewing for herself, making ceramic art and collecting miniature Nativity sets from around the world. She also loved taking care of her plants and her collection of orchids.
