Maria del Carmen "Carmin" Rodriguez's Obituary
On Wednesday, August 7th, 2024, María del Carmen “Carmín”
Rodríguez David went home with the Lord. Carmín was a cherished
member of Iglesia Bautista Palabra de Vida (Tampa) where she found
joy in serving the Lord, particularly through the conception and
organizing of the annual women’s conference. Carmín had a passion
for higher education, exemplified by her 11 years of dedicated
service and leadership at AGM University in Tampa. She was a
devoted parent, always prioritizing the well-being of her children
and their families, always giving of herself without measure.
Carmín was preceded in death by her beloved husband, José
Antonio Rodríguez Vázquez, and her mother, Silvia María David
Fernández. She is survived by her children: son José Marcos
Rodríguez and his wife Eleonora Rodríguez, daughter Beatriz
Shelton, her husband Eric, and their son Elijah, and son
Miguelangel Rodríguez. Carmín also leaves behind her father,
Rafael Ernesto Rodríguez Moctezuma, and her siblings: Rafael
Ernesto “Rafy” Rodríguez David, Héctor Iván Rodríguez David,
Ernesto Rafael “Tito” Rodríguez, and sister Edith Anaid “Edisita”
Rodríguez. She was also a beloved “Titi” to Silvia Raquel, Iván
David, María Luisa, Juan Francisco, Ramil, Daniel, Kevin, and
Lyannie.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, August
16th, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home,
located at 11005 N US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592.
Visitation will precede the service from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial
contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at
