Maria Caceres' Obituary
Maria Caceres, 75, of Tampa passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 25, 2020. Born to Felix Caceres Mestre and Julia Colon Audifred in Humacao, Puerto Rico on November 22, 1944. She enjoyed a life with William Mercado Sr. For 60 years and she worked at Tampa General Hospital for many years.
She is survived by her brothers Miguel Caceres of Bronx, NY, Luis Mestre of New Jersey and sister Rosa Caceres of Humacao, PR. She was loving mother to her children Carmen Mercado Smith of Wimauma, FL, Wilfredo Mercado of Tampa, FL, Menio Mercado of Tampa, FL, Marisa Caceres of Tampa, FL. Her grandchildren, Brittany Mercado, Eric Mercado, William Toby Mercado, and Destiny Mercado all in Ohio, Adabelto Santiago, Wilfredo Mercado Jr., Jelisa Maria Mercado and Menio Felix Mercado of Tampa, FL and Juan Jr. Santiago of Zephyrhills, FL. She had 22 Great-Grandchildren.
Maria is preceded in death by her son William Mercado Jr. And grandson Daniel Santiago.
She enjoyed time spent with her family and gardening.
Funeral service will be Thursday July 2, 2020 at 1pm at Sunset Funeral Home with a graveside service immediately following.
