Margie Helen Canterbury's Obituary
Margie “Granny” Canterbury was born on April 9th, 1928 in Clendenin, West Virginia. She passed away peacefully on December 9th, 2024 in Tampa, Florida. She was 96 years young. Margie is survived by her sons Keith, Grover and Joe; daughter-in-laws Ruby, Penny, Beverly; Son-in-law Bobby;16 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren, and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Bill, daughters Arlivone and Becky; great grandson Curtis and great-great grandson Holden.
Anyone who knew Margie “Granny” loved her. She was very well known in the community for her plant nursery. She started Canterbury’s nursery in 1975 and retired in 2011. She was the glue to the family and spread love like the seeds in her nursery. She loved to be silly, watch all of her children play and smile. She was strong and fiercely independent , but also gentle and kind. She will be missed greatly by all that knew her.
If you would like to join her family, services will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 N. US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592 on Saturday, January 11th from 10 am to 12pm.
