Eileen was the kindest, sweetest and most loving person I have ever known. She never had a harsh word for or about anyone. She loved her husband, children, siblings and parents so much. I was so honored to call her my friend for about 50 years. She made everyone a better person just by being Eileen. Words can not express how much she will be missed.
I have so many wonderful memories I will just share a few.
I went to high school with her brother David and also Pat. We also worked together at GTE in 1974. I think that is where our lifelong friendship began.
She rode her bike to my parents house one day and my dad said “who is that 16 year old.” Eileen never aged , she was always so beautiful💕
She used to pick me up in her Volkswagen Beetle. She was so much fun and a joy to be around.
When she met her amazing husband, Mark, she was not sure she wanted to go out with a musician. Needless to say that relationship turned into a beautiful marriage. Their wedding is still one of my favorite memories.
Eileen was blessed with three of the most amazing, talented and successful children. They are a tribute to the loving mom that she was. Her children came first and she was supportive in all their endeavors.
Eileen had a phenomenal memory. She never forgot a name or how they were related.
When her mom passed she wanted to know if I would like something to remember her by. Eileen gave me a ceramic white cat sitting on a blue cushion. It is still displayed on the family room book shelves. Every time I see it I not only think of her mom but of her and her thoughtfulness.
Eileen and Mark came over to visit one day after her stroke and our dog, Scout just loved her. He has a very small circle of people he likes and he knew just how truly special Eileen was.
She simply was amazing in every way. The best friend, the best wife , the best mom and the best grandma.
She will be missed more than words can adequately express. Rest in peace my dear friend. Love you always.
