Obituary for Lydia Elegia Diaz
Born in Gurabo Puerto Rico she excelled scholarly from a young from a young age.
She obtained a bachelor's degree in public education and a masters degree in social work from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras campus.
She went to Indiana University Bloomington USA to polish her English skills as an English teacher.
After retirement she's spread the word of God at all costs in Puerto Rico and in Orlando Florida. She had suffer many serious illnesses and tribulations none of which stopped her from loving God and keeping her faith.
Overall, she deeply loved and guided her son and her daughters.
She enjoyed rescuing animals and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her mother Leonor Montanez and her father Santiago Diaz, her husband Benito Aponte, her sister Alicia Diaz, her brother-in-law Gregorio Diaz, her grandson Michael Cipriani and many other siblings, cousins, grandparents, and friends.
She is survived by her son Benito Aponte and her daughters Sandra L Aponte, Ileana Piediscalzi and Brenda Aponte. She is also survived by grandchildren that include Joan Martinsen, Bianca Cipriani, and Sandra N Aponte, her niece Carmen Diaz Plaza, and many great-grandchildren.
