Lunsanto Borrero's Obituary
Lunsanto Borrero, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and father-in-law, passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 88, in Land O’ Lakes, FL, after a courageous battle against dementia and multiple myeloma. Born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, on March 24, 1937, Lunsanto moved to the States as a teen and lived at various points in Pennsylvania and Florida, but truly called the Bronx, New York, home—all the while keeping Puerto Rico forever in his heart.
A retired United States Postal Service worker whose greatest love was his family, Lunsanto’s interests ranged from baseball and boxing to antique cars (specifically VW Beetles and 1962 Chrysler Imperials). He was a beloved figure in his South Bronx neighborhood of Tiffany Street, always offering a friendly word or act of kindness to his community.
He is survived by his son, Edel; daughter-in-law, Michel; daughters Susan and Mary Alice; grandchildren Richard, Tony, Justin, and Natasha; his remaining siblings, Angel and Mercedes; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends he considered family, who collectively hold in their hearts the memory of this GOOD MAN.
Our hearts are at peace knowing that he is finally reunited in the afterlife with his beloved wife, Araminda Borrero, who we lost in 2005; his son, Luis Trujillo, who we lost in 1984; and all other family members who passed over the years into the great beyond.
